A Little Debris
WEEK 2 of Break In
This week was all about park trips and relaxing. I'm at full term right now in my pregnancy and we're still waiting for this little guy to make an appearance - Now a day late. So I tried to entertain my toddler as best I could with park trips, and to his dismay, shopping trips to stock up for the baby's arrival.
Right now the sandals are perfectly broken in. I was able to walk a few blocks, do an entire days of shopping, and chase a toddler at the park without even thinking about what I had on. I'm looking forward to getting around a little better once we get this baby out and really putting these sandals to the test. There will be many tests!
Day 8 - A Little Debris
While at the park I was reminded of one of the minor annoyances we hear of and experience while wearing a Birkenstock sandal in an environment that has a lot of debris. Since the footbed as raised edges, it tends to capture debris and not release it unless you kick it out. I was kicking out wood chips for an hour while chasing my son around the park... All you need to do is shake it out and you'll be on your way. It's sort of a funny characteristic of the shoe that all Birkenstock fans are silently aware of. You deal with it.
